Introduction: How to Get High Resolution Images Out of Instructables

Did you really enjoy that instructable picture and want to save a high resolution copy of it? This great little feature is easily overlooked.

Step 1: Find Image - Check License

Remember, if you're a member of the community, respect the wishes of your fellow members. Look at the license to make sure you can use their image.

Step 2: The Image Button

Click on the "i" inside the white box in the upper left hand corner of the picture.

Step 3: Download Image or Select Size

From this point, you have a few options.

1. You can select the size of image you want to download or view -- the default is the highest available
2. You can download the image to disk..
3. You can view the image by itself.

To select an image size, simply click on size you want from the list on the left tool bar.

To download the image, right click the link just below the image and select "save link as" (or whatever the appropriate action for your browser).

To view the image by itself -- you can click the link and browse to the image. For those on a slower connection, be advised that some of these images are big -- really big.

Step 4: Use

Be sure to use the image within the confines of the license. In this case, the license is "public domain"
