How to get a girlfriend in Middle School

Tired of getting hugs from your parents because your too old? Do you want a girlfriend and are afraid of asking one out because you are scared? I may be able to help you

Step 1 First...

First you need to check and see if she is going out with anybody else. If she is then its a no go till she break up with him. Also make sure she likes you, if she looks at you a lot she MAY be interested. Till then don't just go up and ask her out.

:) agreed... You have to understand in middle school this is actually how it ends up happening, but this was a terribly written article... still, I doubt a 9 year old will need dating advice JUST yet... but if one's thirteen, I'd start getting the shotgun and the cleaner kit out :)

I agree this does sound very jerkish(jerkish=word?)
I know that if i was a girl and someone just walked up and asked like that i wouldn't even answer. do ask to specificaly "go out", just ask if she wants to go to something less akward like a movie. And when girls see you nervous around them it brings you down to earth and more reachable.

I agree i seen lots of boys in my school act like a**es when dating, so usually she breaks up or slaps them. My friend had one who acted like one and she slapped him, then broke up :).

Remember kids, lower standard creepiness limit is (0.5A + 7) years where A is your age in years.

That means no dating until 14. If your age is the older age, we can call that Ao. If the youngest age of someone you can date is the target date, we can call that Ay. Putting that in terms of your equation

Ay=(0.5Ao+7)
Ay-7=0.5Ao
(Ay-7)*2=Ao

That means that the youngest person you can date is (0.5A+7), and the oldest person you can date is (A-7)*2.

The first place where the youngest person is actually the same age, or younger than the oldest person, is 14 years old.

Interesting... It is true, the dating age window tends to an unreasonably short period (if your 14th birthday was a month ago, you can technically only date someone born within a few weeks of you) but I admit I hadn't thought about the max age/min age reversal at ages under 14, though. Also remember there's up to a year's aliasing error, because someone a day from their 15th birthday is still "14 years old", but as with so many things it's really more like... guidelines.

Step one I don't understand, I run into that problem with my friends, they'll be like "Man that chick in thermo is cute" and I'll say, "so go freakin' talk to her" and they'll say "Na, I think she has a boyfriend". SO What? relationships aren't ownership.

I think it was on a episode of Seinfeld, maybe Friends, I don't know but there was this guy would get into friendly arguments with girls, then bet them that he was right and they were wrong. The stakes were a dinner and of course he knew he was wrong. I though that was such a funny sneaky way to get a date.
