Step 2: Removing fleas from the host (Human)

Picture of Removing fleas from the host (Human)
I decided to split the section "Removing fleas from the host" into an Human and animal (pet) section.

What to Do:

1. Bathe one to two times daily with soap. Insecticidal shampoos are available but are not always necessary.

2. Comb daily with a special flea comb designed to drag fleas out of hiding and dispose of any rousted fleas in soapy water. You may also want to record daily the number of fleas removed so you can identify any population increase before it becomes a problem.

Fleas are the worst. Thanks for the tips.

thats a nice shower lol. i wish i had one like that

this is all good and thanks for posting, but it is a hell of a lot of work. A lot of people do not have the time as I feel it should be done all in one day...all the rooms and beds, otherwise eggs could be carried into the cleaned room to another. What I cant understand is how my cat got fleas when she never goes out...she is a rescue cat and doesn't like outside. None of my friends have cats so I'm wondering about how she got fleas. I asked the vets, where it is the only place where she has been recently...they denied the possibility of another catching fleas. Oh well I had better start the process....
