Introduction: How to Get Waves in Your Hair

Here are some simple steps that it takes to get awesome 360 waves.

Step 1: Step 1. Get All the Necessary Tools and Items Needed for Wave Preperation.

The items that will be needed to get and maintain waves are a good-high quality wave brush, good quality wave gel/pomade, any kind of durag, and a good shampoo and conditioner to keep your hair in shape and maintained.

Step 2: Rub Wave Gel/pomade Into Your Hair

Get just enough wave gel/pomade so that it covers up 3/4 of the tip of your index finger. You need enough to cover your entire head or the area of hair you wish to get waves.

Step 3: Brush the Rest of the Gel/pomade Into Your Hair

Brush the rest of the gel/pomade evenly into your hair. This is so that it is easily absorbed into your hair. This allows for you to have stronger waves due to more hold from the gel. Do this twice a day, once at the beginning and end of each day.

Step 4: Continue Brushing Your Hair for 10 Additional Minutes

You need to continue to brush your hair so that you train your hair to lay down and curl (wave up). This is really what happens when you begin to feel and see your waves. Make sure you brush evenly around your head, so that your waves come in even around your head.

Step 5: Rub an Additional Light Layer of Wave Gel/pomade on Your Hair

You do this just for extra support and hair hydration under the wave cap.

Step 6: Place Wave Cap on Your Head

Now you need to put the wave cap on your head so that it fits snug around your head. This is for your hair to continue to lay down and train itself to curl and wave up. (Wear your wave cap as much as you possibly can during the day.)

Step 7: Take Wave Cap Off

You now take your wave cap off after having it on for some time. You do this to see the progress made from allowing your hair to lay down and absorb the wave gel/pomade.

Step 8: Wash Your Hair

You now need to wash your hair (with a brush) to keep it hydrated and moisturized. You should do this once a week. If you do not do this, you will not get max results. This is because you need moisturized and conditioned hair to get the best waves possible. You need to use your brush while washing your hair, because it will allow you to keep your wave pattern while your hair loosens up.

Step 9: Rub Wave Gel/pomade Into Your Hair

While your hair is slightly damp/saturated, rub the wave gel/pomade into your hair so that it is easily absorbed into ones hair.

Step 10: Brush Your Hair

Brush your hair to ensure that the wave gel/pomade is fully absorbed into one's hair. Continually do this throughout the day and week. Do this for 5-10 minute intervals. Remember, the time and dedication that you put in is what you will get back out.

Step 11: Repeat Steps 2-10

Repeat steps 2-10 daily and weakly to get the best results. Results will differ based on how much time and care each individual takes with their hair. Also you can go through any of these steps out of order except for washing your hair.

Step 12: Wave Achievement

After following each of the steps above for about 3-12 weeks you should now have or be gaining great 360 waves long as your are consistent.
