Introduction: How to Install Splash Guard / Mud Guard

About: Just having some fun with junx and recycling stuff! If you have anything to ask on just about anything, please don't hesitate.

This is a fairly simple and easy instruction for installing Splash Guard/ Mud Guard on your Toyota Camry or any car make and model.

Having your Splash guard installed at the dealer is costly and hopefully, this instructible would be helpful for those who want to install their splash guards or mud guards themselves.

If you think this was helpful, please let me know and leave some comments. I would appreciate some of your inputs.

Materials needed.

6mm (1/4) drill bit/drill

note:
Installation of the rear splash guards requires some drilling but not that difficult.

Step 2: Step 1: Mounting Front Splash Guards

Clean the area where the splash guard/ mudguards are to be installed.

Remove push pin A by turning head to the left 1/4 turn and pull.

Place the new plastic insert. (comes with the set when you bought it)

Remove screw B and bolt (located at the bottom of the side panel)

Mount splash guard and repeat procedure on the other side.

Step 3: Step 2: Mounting Rear Splash Guards

Clean surrounding area where splash guard/ mud guard are to be installed.

Locate the existing mount hole under the side bumper. install plastic insert in the hole. Mount splash guard and and install screws (plastic insert comes with your set)

Using part as template, drill 6mm holes in locations A and B while holding part tight against the panel.

Install supplied spring clips. (spring clips comes with your set)

Install screws, and repeat procedure on the other side.

note:
since i was having a hard time drilling because of the rear tire that was on the way of my drill, I decided to take out the bolt at the bottom of the side bumper.

doing this made it easier for me to drill.

Step 4: A Time Well Spent!

So there you have it. Why pay more the dealer to install your splash guard when in less than an hour you can install it yourself!
