You will have the rest of your life without school, so you should make the most of it. The people who skip school grow up to be losers, not because they are not smart but because they are too lazy to contribute to society.
Sincerely,
Your parents

so i used to dodge school by ACTUALLY MAKING MYSELF SICK, its much easier to fake sick when you ARE sick :D, but if you take a little epsom salt ( cant remember exact numbers i think it was a tablespoon per 8 oz of water) and mix it in some water then it gives you a BAD stomach ache which nicely wears off after a few hours . BUT after reading this ible if you have something at school you REALLY want to avoid but wnt your perfect attendance record shiny you could bring a thermos (has to be insulated to keep warm longer) and after however long ( most schools is exactly half the day) you have to be there to be counted as in attendance you ask to go to the clinic and on the way drink your thermos of hot tea or soup or something warm ( id avoid coffe just because it smells so strong the nurse might smell it b4 taking temp) then take temp and get something higher than 100 degres which hat schools count as a fever and go home HOWEVER make sure its not TOO hot becuase if it reads somethng like 150 degrees youll be carted off to the hospital covered in ice packs.id practice at home with a thermo meter a good bit b4 hand, somethign like 103 degrees is right about where you want your temp to read and IF NOTHING else works rig a thermometer that looks IDENTICAL to the kind the school uses and swap it when nurse looks away

Have you ever fogged up a glass window? Do that with your mouth closed with the thermometer. Your mouth gets hot, which raises the temperature. If you have those new head thermometers, What would do, is get the rag (assuming you don't have a hot water tap, stick it in the microwave for a while. I would bring unpopped popcorn so you have an excuse. People also poke your uvula, or use a long pretzel stick to poke it. i can flick mine and it make doesn't works me gag a lot ( I tried it so many times, it doesn't work anymore,)  another way is dont eat untill lunch, then drink alot of a thick drink (a milkshake did for me) I'm not one for skipping school. Gl keeping this up when you get home though.

If you are going to prepare to get out of school early don't go in the first place. Also you end up with more make-up work which sucks because you have to get caught up and do that days work so over all. Just go to school. It's not that bad if you talk to other people. Just my opinion.

even if you filled your mouth with hot water and kept it there, by the time you got to the nurse, it would be body temperature. and so you have a fever? now what? your parents get called, and have to pick you up. whoopee. and why do you want to get out of school? you only get one free government education. if you're board of learning, just take a break for the rest of the day. socialize with your peers as much as you can and save homework for the next morning. sometimes you need a break, but be prepared to work hard the majority of your life. things don't get harder or easier, but they change you a lot (along with your perception of what's hard and what's easy) did you forget about a project or a test? maybe you should keep a planner, or do what i do, write all your assignments on some 3x5 note cards and stick them in your back pocket, and cross them off when they're done. this instructable is very poorly done. please only make instructables on things you have actually done, and have quality pictures to.

Well, Let me say that adults just don't understand why kids hate school, because they went through a phase in life where they change their opinions about school. I really hate school, and that's normal 'cause I'm a kid. If I guessed right, you're an adult ( or at least a teenager in his late 10's ) and you experienced that phase already. You may not remember it, but I'm sure - even if you are a super - smart, school - loving geek that you at the very least once hates school and wants to get out of it too.

I just finished high school, but nowhere near an adult. My grades were about average, and i was not a school loving geek. I often wished i could skip a class once and a while, but there were always repercussions. The largest one being that you will be behind the class, and have to work double hard to catch up. working doubley hard is not just twice as hard as normal, it's much harder, so the end result is you loose time. Parents are wrong about many things, MANY things, especially in this new technology era, but one thing they do know is why kids hate school. It's because they're lazy pieces of crap that haven't been broken in yet. Kids growing up are getting too dependent on the internet. They don't see a reason for leaning all this extra information when they can just access it all instantly online. Well it isn't all extra information, and later you'll learn that you will use lots of those tidbits and facts in life. Iv'e never loved school and that has never changed. you learn to deal with it. You need to be able to deal with things in life, and school only does a 1/2 assed job of preparing you, so you have to give it your all to get anything out of it. The quicker you learn to conform to societies standards, the quicker you can get out of it.
Jul 19, 2008. 9:33 PMCamisado says:
Not all kids are lazy pieces of crap who hasn't been to the real world yet. I, being a kid, is offended with your statement. My ultimate point is that you really don't need all the stuff you get from school to succeed, for example you are sent to an elite math school, but you turned out to be an artist. I also hate the school system. Teachers are just a bunch of underpaid overworked workers with no better thing to do than teach a bunch of brats who doesn't appreciate them and works really half-assed. Well, I say, if you're gonna do it, at least do it right, man! don't like it, don't go to it.

Although I agree that this is a poorly made 'Ible, you can't blame the guy for not having pictures. Not only is it the middle of summer, but taking pictures of this would be extremely difficult to pull off in a school situation.
Jul 18, 2008. 10:43 PMtheRIAA says:
they don't have to be actual pictures of him doing it (although he has never and will never pull this off). I mean just something other than the generic 125x125 thumbnails he pulled from google image search. get a digital camera and take a picture the materials, and of a wet towel. i'm sorry, but a digital camera is REQUIRED to make a good instrucable.

Couldn't you use those hand warmer pouches? Stick one in your mouth at the side, when the nurse puts the themometer in, place it on the pouch thingy, and done.
Jul 20, 2008. 9:30 PMbmlbytes says:
Then wait until your saliva made that nasty stuff get on your tongue and down your throat. You may not even need the warmth of the pouch, you could genuinely get sick.
