Introduction: How to Make LED Headlight for Bicycle Using a Bottle.

About: I am a Project Management Analyst at a reputed brand. Electronics and Photography are my hobby which I pursue on my weekends.

There was need for a headlight for my Bicycle and could not find one in stores, so I decided to build one myself.

Step 1: Materials Required.

2Ltr Empty Pepsi/Coke Bottle -1pc
1W LED Light -1pc
Torch Reflector -1pc
Resistor 220K/1W or .5W -1pc
Toggle Switch(any switch will do) - 1pc
Screws - as required.
Some wire, Paper cutter, scissors, Insulation Tape, Soldering Iron(if you don't have one you get it soldered from a friend or a mechanic.

Step 2: Cutting the Bottle

Cut the upper part of the bottle  as shown in the picture.

Step 3:

Once the bottle is cut make a hole, this will hold our toggle switch.

Step 4:

Screw up the toggle switch as shown.

Step 5:

Fit the LED into the reflector. Also solder the 220k resistor.

Step 6:

Connect the wires as shown in the circuit diagram.

Step 7:

Once done, insert the reflector into the bottle.

Step 8:

Now tape it firmly using the the insulation tape.

Step 9:

Now it should look something like this.

In case you don't have a battery pack. You can use 4AA sized batteries jut remove the resistor and connect the batteries directly.
