Cerberus is a three headed dog in Greek Mythology. It's the guardian of the Hell Gate of Hades'es. In the Divine Comedy, ( an ancient poem by Dante Alighieri) it is said that Cerberus is on the third floor on Hell... then who guards on the first floor??? Well, that's a mystery.. (Maybe because it has three heads!) Ok, let's leave that nonsense behind and get to the art!

Step 1: : Materials

The only thing you need is a sheet of paper! No need glue or scissor! Use brown colored papers, light brown or dark is fine. You can try black colors (But I rarely see a black cerberus).
<p>You know that part where you have unfolded the top and folded it back in? the part after that i don't get, how do you fold that bit to the side? I've gone through 12 pieces of paper and STILL haven't got it! do you think you could take a photo and explain it a bit more please? I really, REALLY want to make this but i just CAN'T!</p>
<p>it's hard but cool</p>
sorry but step 3 picture 6 is hard <br>
Is there another way or perhaps a bit more clear way to explain&nbsp;&quot;Fold it to the right (sorry there's no picture of it) so the upper layer will be force to fold down.&quot; For I have been having trouble with that part for awhile.&nbsp;
&nbsp; It's like you make a reverse kite fold. Don't worry, I'll make a video of this origami after my exam's finished. Please be patient.
Yay! Thank you very much!!
Here's the video, please give me more detail of your problems if this video can't help you.<object height="340" width="560"> <param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/DEra60ThzcA&amp;hl=en_US&amp;fs=1&amp;" /> <param name="allowFullScreen" value="true" /> <param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always" /><embed allowfullscreen="true" allowscriptaccess="always" height="340" src="http://www.youtube.com/v/DEra60ThzcA&amp;hl=en_US&amp;fs=1&amp;" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="560" /></object><object height="340" width="560"> <param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/s5SCRm8NdlA&amp;hl=en_US&amp;fs=1&amp;" /> <param name="allowFullScreen" value="true" /> <param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always" /><embed allowfullscreen="true" allowscriptaccess="always" height="340" src="http://www.youtube.com/v/s5SCRm8NdlA&amp;hl=en_US&amp;fs=1&amp;" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="560" /></object>
Very helpful, thanks
Thank you very much for the vid! I'm going to try and make it again soon :D thanks once again!
This is a nice video and all but, i could'nt see the folds well and i pretty much messed up because your hand was blocking the way.Try not to block anything.
ya this a big problem for an otherwize nice instructable
do u have the link to the diagrams? or did u make it yourself? if u have a link can u plz send it to me?<br />
I make it myself though, and I'm trying to make diagrams of all my origamis with drawing programs in my comp but I don't understand how to do it. So I'll try hand drawings..<br />
ok thanks
This is a very good guide to making this piece, but there is a very not specific part that is VERY confusing. It would be most helpful if "Fold it to the right (sorry there's no picture of it) so the upper layer will be force to fold down" was more specific. I would be MUCH less confused if what "it" or "the upper layer" was in this sentence. Thanks!
He means to sink fold the tip.
agreed. being specific is a good thing.
i think fenrir guards the first floor and then i think its orthrus on the second floor. im not really sure
Maybe you're right about orthrus, because he have two-heads- maybe he's Cerberus brother. But Fenrir, that is Norwegian Mythology..
WRONG! Norse mythology. hehehee Norwegian is, however, one of the places where Norse beliefs were prevalent.
Whatever.. I'm not good on those mythology! I only studied the Ragnarok and that's all..
Well, I just figured it best to share a bit of knowledge! Now you know more than you already did!
The pdf is broken!
i didn't see that coming.. Sorry about that
The last few pictures were blurry. But that was awesome!
Good 'ible! Great job describing all the really annoying complex origami steps, and great job taking lots of photos. Next time, try using the Macro function on your camera (it usually looks like a flower) - it'll make those close up shots nice and crisp. Keep up the good origami-ing.
Thanks! I'll try that on my next instructables
