Introduction: How to Make a Desk Organizer

This Desk Organizer is capable of holding rulers, 2 calculators, protractors, papers, and tape.  This is mostly made out of PVC piping and fabric.

Step 1: Gathering the Materials

Materials you will need:
    PVC pipes:
Lengths:
  two: 8 1/2” X  ½”
              four: 3 3/4” X  ½”
              four:  1 3/4” X  ½”
              three: 3 3/4” X  ½”
              one:  5” X  ½”
              five: 1 1/2” X  ½”
              one: 1 1/2” X  ½”
Fittings:
T-Connector-4
Corner-Connector-8
               90 Degree-Connector- 2
   Wood
Length: 4"x 10 3/4" X 1/4"
   8 nails
   Fabric
   3D Printed attachment

Tools you will need:
       PVC Cutter
       Tape Measurer
       Pencil
       Needle and thread
       3D Printer
       Screwdirver
       Hot Glue Gun

Step 2: Building the Base

1)Construct a  8 1/2” X  ½” pipe. (Either find a pipe the proper length or use a PVC Cutter to cut to the proper length)
2)Construct two 3 3/4” X  ½” pipe. (Either find a pipe the proper length or use a PVC Cutter to cut to the proper length)
3)Use a T-Connector to create a 8 1/2 pipe
4)Construct two 1 3/4” X  ½” pipe. (Either find a pipe the proper length or use a PVC Cutter to cut to the proper length)
5)Use four corner connectors and construct a 8 1/2” by 4" rectangle

Step 3: Building Up

Construct 3  7 1/2” X  ½” pipe. (Either find a pipe the proper length or use a PVC Cutter to cut to the proper length)
Put pipes in slots A,B and C

Step 4:

1)Construct a  5” X  ½” pipe. (Either find a pipe the proper length or use a PVC Cutter to cut to the proper length)
2)Put pipe in slot D
3)Construct a  1 1/2” X  ½” pipe. (Either find a pipe the proper length or use a PVC Cutter to cut to the proper length)
4)Use T-connector and the 1 1/2” X  ½” pipe and connect them to the left side of the T
5)Put T-connector on pipe in slot D
6)Construct a  1 1/2” X  ½” pipe. (Either find a pipe the proper length or use a PVC Cutter to cut to the proper length)
7)Put pipe in the remaining slot in the T-Connector in slot D
8)Use a 90 degree angle connector to make a hook

Step 5:

1)Construct a  1 1/2” X  ½” pipe. (Either find a pipe the proper length or use a PVC Cutter to cut to the proper length)
2)Use T-connector and the 1 1/2” X  ½” pipe and connect them to the left side of the T
3)Put in slot E
4)Construct a  1 1/2” X  ½” pipe. (Either find a pipe the proper length or use a PVC Cutter to cut to the proper length)
5)Put in the middle connector
6)Use a 90 degree angle and put on the 1 ½ pipe
7)Construct a  1 1/2” X  ½” pipe. (Either find a pipe the proper length or use a PVC Cutter to cut to the proper length)
8)Construct a  4 1/2” X  ½” pipe. (Either find a pipe the proper length or use a PVC Cutter to cut to the proper length)
9)Put in slot E

Step 6:

Construct a  8 1/2” X  ½” pipe. (Either find a pipe the proper length or use a PVC Cutter to cut to the proper length)
Construct two 3 3/4” X  ½” pipe. (Either find a pipe the proper length or use a PVC Cutter to cut to the proper length)
Use a T-Connector to create a longer pipe
Construct two 1 3/4” X  ½” pipe. (Either find a pipe the proper length or use a PVC Cutter to cut to the proper length)
Use four corner connectors and construct a 8 1/2” by 4” rectangle

Step 7:

Step 8: The Making of Calculator and Ruler Pouches

1) Using a need and thread construct 2 pouches for the calculator and another for the rulers
2) Using a hot glue gun, attach pouches onto the PVC Pipe.

Step 9: Attaching Tape Cutter

1) Using a hot glue gun, attach 3D printed piece on slot E.

Step 10: Attaching the Wooden Base

1) Drill 4 pilot holes in the four corners
2) Attach 4"x 10 3/4" X 1/4" to base

Step 11: Final Product!
