Introduction: How to Make a PowerPoint Game (Dont Touch the Walls)

In this Instructable I will show you guys how to make an easy to make "Don't touch the walls" PowerPoint game.

You can make as many levels as you want but i will show you how to make one with 2 levels

Step 1: Make the Main Page

1st open a new presentation

File>New

For the main page you will need a title a background and the words: Click anywhere to start

Heres an example:

Step 2: How to Add a Picture or Background Part 1 (Backgrounds)

To place a background you must right click the mouse on the slide in a free area and select
Background...
there will be a popup click the combo box (arrow)(Look at picture 1 for more info)
and then chose a color and press apply or for a picture press Fill Effects...

go in to the Texture category and press other texture(Look at picture 2 for more info)
browse for your background pic
click open then apply if you want it for all slides press Apply to All

Step 3: How to Add a Picture or Background Part 2 (Pictures)

All you need to do is press Insert>Object... (look at pic for info)

Then choose create from file and browse for your image then click ok and drag it where you want it

Step 4: Make a "How to Play" Slide

1-Make a new slide


2-Then type this in the title section: (section 1 on image)

How to Play

3-Then type this in the subtitle section: (section 2 on image)


The object of the game is to get to the finish without touching the Walls
You can do so by not moving your mouse on to the walls
and by moving it on to the finish line.

Step 5: Level 1 Preparations

This is the easiest part all you have to do is drag the subtitle section into the left upper corner and type:

"Click here to start"

Then drag the title section into the middle of the slide and type:


"LEVEL 1"

and make it big writing

here ill show you...

Step 6: Almost the First Lvl

Sorry before you make the lvl you will need to make a "YOU LOSE!!!" Slide

you will need to make a new slide

1st right click on the Grey part of the subtitle section and press cut

Then drag the title section into the middle of the slide and type in caps Lock:

"YOU LOSE!!!!!"

Then make a small rectangle (see pic)

right click it and click add text then type

"Click here to restart"

right click it again but this time click Hyperlink...

on the popup menu click the "Place in this document" category than select
"Slide Titles" >3.LEVEL 1 and then click OK and your done

Step 7: LEVEL 1 FINALY

ta tata tum!!!!!!

YOU ARE NOW READY TO MAKE LEVEL 1 woooooooooo!!!!!


first make a new slide after slide number 3

Then delete the to sections title and subtitle

Then make a long rectangle the length of the slide and the width of about 1cm

Then Right click it and click Action Settings...

Go into the Mouse over category click the Hyperlink to: selection then open the combo box and select

Slide...

then select slide 5. YOU LOSE!!!
press ok and ok and you got your first wall

copy the wall and deform it place it however you like around the level but make shure you can make it to the finish circle

Oh ya the finish circle......... What else did i forget? JOKE

Step 8: Level One Almost Complete

Time to make the finish line or circle or .................. whatever

First make a circle (see step 6 picture for the circle tool)

if i where you i would make it green
if you don't know how to make it green post a comment if i don't answer right away someone else might

right click it then click add text and type :

"FINISH"

you will need to come back to this slide because we didn't make a "YOU HAVE PASSED LVL 1" slide

Step 9: Make the After Level

after the first lvl you will want to have a level saying

You have passed level 1

so make a new slide and in the title space type
" You have passed level 1"

and say congratulations in the subtitles

and at the bottom type

"Press anywhere to continue"

make a rectangle in the upper left corner and press add text and type:

Click Here to play again

then hyperlink it with level 1

now go back to level 1 and right click the finish circle and click action settings then go in the mouse over category select

Hyperlink to:

then select slide...
In the popup menu select slide

5.You have passed Level 1

and your first Level is complete

Step 10: THE WINNERS Slide

Now before we make level 2 we need to make the winners slide

to do so we need to copy the YOU LOSE slide but instead of YOU LOSE you can say YOU WIN

or
YOU ARE A WINNER etc

but make sure its the last slide so that at the end it will end the slide show

Step 11: Level 2

Now this level will be like a review

First make a new slide after the you have passed level 1 slide

Drag the subtitle space into the upper left corner and type:

Click here to Start


And bring the title space in the middle and type

LEVEL 2

Then copy your level 1 slide and paste it after the slide you just made

in that slide rearrange the walls to make the level different and bring the finish line somewhere else but make sure that your mouse can make it to the finish

then make an after level (see Step 9)

but in that level make a hyperlink to the winners slide either a word or a rectangle or a circle.....









AND YOUR GAME IS DONE FINALY
