How to make a Super Mario Mushroom

How to make a Super Mario Mushroom
Hey Everyone,

I made this cute Super Mario Mushroom out of Polymer clay (I used Fimo) He was very easy to make although I do recommend some experience in polymer clay. You can make him into charm to go on your phone or bag, make him into a necklace, charm bracelet- anything you like, it would make a great gift for a Gamer (or yourself ;] )
If anybody would like a step by step tutorial, please let me know!

You will need:
Red / green polymer clay (for the cap of the mushroom)
White Polymer clay (for the spots, highlights and body of the mushroom)
Black polymer clay (for the eyes)
Blade

-If you wish to make him into a charm you will also need:
Head pin / eyepin
Jump ring
Charm attachment

You can get all the materials from any good craft store or online. I got mine from eBay.
If you do make him please post some pictures!

Neon, that's very cool. I would love if you posted the steps for making this (it doesn't look that complicated, but maybe explaining how you attached the chain would be helpful!).

I love mushrooms ;)) - they turn into really cute things(toys and so on). I've never worked with polymer clay, maybe someday i'll give it a try, but i've done some mushrooms with the crochet :D
Yours is really tiny and cute:)!!

Well i donno if you you'll find it easy to crochet.. sometimes it's easy sometimes it is hard.. It depends on the size of the hook and yarn. if you are working with a small hook it would be not that easy. I like very much to crochet, so even if it's harder sometimes, i won't give up.

I know a great japanese site that has some tutorials but i donno if it is ok to put a link here:) so i'll send you a private mess.- it would help you to learn stiches and models... (and has some patterns in english too).

i started last october... :)
i used to do handmade (like sewing, knitting, not so much crochet) while i was in primary school - a looong time ago ;).last year i've started to make handmade jewels, and to crochet again...
i have most things i've done so far on my blog:) - it;s in romanian, but it can be translated with google translate :P

i'm happy to find a community with challenges. It's like going back to school and having homework to do, only funny creative homeworks.. if you know what i mean:P
