This is going to be a very quick tutorial on how to build a very cheap and easy to make taser, or a stungun. Obviously this is not a toy and Im not responsible for any of your actions.

This stun gun/ taser is crazy powerful, reaching about 400kv. the best part is that the whole gadget is rechargeable!

Step 2: You Will Need!

Heres a list of the items you need:

 1. Transformer
 2. Battery
 3. Charger
 4. Plastic case
 5. Switch

I recycled most of my parts! This project only cost me $4!

Step 3: Test Fit

Test fit everything and make sure it all fits

Using any marker, mark out holes for the switch and the charger module

Then using a drill or a knife, cut/drill out the parts you just marked

Simple as that.

Step 4: Soldering

Because some gratefully donated for a new project, I was able to buy a cheap soldering station, which dramatically helps with new projects! Thank You for helping me! If you would like new projects donate here. If you do, I can make more projects!

Anyway, Solder according to the schematic I have attached . Its very easy to do and will only take an hour.

remember for the transformer the power connection is red line:"+" green line "-"

Step 5: Youre Done!

Youre done! Congratulations You just made a taser!

for more information regarding taser visit this article

Remember be careful! This things hurts extremely bad!

Keep in mind Im not responsible for your actions,so have fun but be safe!

A few things to keep in mind regarding the transformer

input voltage: DC 3 V to 6 V Input current: 2 A- 5 A High pressure type: the type of pulse current Output voltage: 400000 v(Please pay attention to safety) High pressure discharge distance between: 10 mm - 20 mm The output high voltage wire length: 100 mm Input power cord length: 100 mm (the red line is positive)

the high-voltage module should avoid the use of electricity in high voltage no-load . (Power must be adjusted to a suitable distance to the high-voltage output line , battery capacity is proportional to the distance and the use of the high-pressure arc ( not a voltage as high as possible , you must provide enough current ) . Experimental test of the arc distance from short to long , Do not exceed the maximum arc distance electricity, energy can not be released due to high pressure , can easily damage the module. ) Work: intermittent , continuous work does not allow more than 1 minute and the output side does not allow shorting . Improper voltage and long working hours easily damaged module

super simple and just plain awesome

I would advise you add to your disclaimer in the first step, warning Instructables users to check applicable laws where they live as in many countries/states owning a taser or stun gun is illegal. That said, great 'ible! I really appreciate your use of easily obtainable and affordable parts, and good documentation with pictures.

So where did you recycle the transformer from? Because you linked the item, and that alone cost more than $4? I like the design of the project though!! Have you shocked anybody with it yet to make sure it won't kill/seriously hurt anybody? Lol

I didn't recycle the transformer. I got that off eBay, but its easier to link to amazon. Yes I have tazed two of my friends and myself, it was enough to knock them to the ground. Wasnt enough to kill someone but it hurts extremly bad. Very painful.

Cool I'm amazed at how simple it is!
