I tried this recipe with saskatoons and raspberries. I also brushed a little bit of corn syrup mixed with hot water over the pie during the last few minutes. Mmmmmmmmmmmmmm this is a really good recipe. I am a beginner and this has really encouraged me to try more. Thanks
Damn these reveresed Southern Hemisphere (better than the nothern one!) seasons! The moment I find a decent pie recipe, ALL the strawberries, raspberries, gooseberries, blackberries, blueberries, red currants, white currents, black currants and pretty much any other berry in existence ISN'T IN EXISTENCE!!! Grrr...
Wow, this looks really nice, I think I might try this soon! This is a really nice Instructable, and is there anyway you can make those Images bigger, that would really be cool! Awesome Job! ~Shifrin
OMG I LOVE PIE!!!!!
Verry good. Now tell me how to make a rubarb pie. thank you.
I'll see if I can get my mom to post how for you.
I miss my great-grandma :( she made the best pies ever.
I used to work at a bakery and we made a pie like this. We used tapioca (the thickener, not the pudding) instead of corn starch. It bakes clear and leaves no flavor like cornstarch can. For 6 cups of fruit we used 3 tablespoons of tapioca. You can usually find it in any grocery store. This is the best pie EVER!!!!!
it looks amazing :O! I learn cooking from this site :3 XD
