you could just tape the cone to the shaft. If you put the tape on the shaft with just the edge of it on the cone, it won't come off short of being cut with a knife.It's faster, too.

Cool. I have a blowgun but I don't hunt with it. I haven't killed anything with it yet but it is almost time for those stupid crows to show up. By the way,does any one know how to make poison for needle tipped darts that will kill crows? If so please post it because I do hate crows.

Jeez, acetone (nail polish remover), ethyl acetate (nail polish remover), or household cleaners alone aren't going to kill anything the size of a crow, just make it incredibly annoyed. They're just solvents. Unless you plan to hold the crow down and pour massive amounts of the stuff down its throat. I don't think you can get a hold of any synthetic chemicals suitable for making poison darts that aren't controlled drugs. You'd be better off looking up recipes for botanical poisons to purify from plants.

I might actually make one of these, only shorter...and incapable of doing what you did to those frogs... I'll probably replace the tip with a point sharpened in a pencil sharpener with three needles pointing out
