How to escape

Another material...
As previously mentionned in this instructable, I also tried to make finger traps out of strips cut in an old bicycle inner tube...

While the finger trap did not work due to the material being stretchable, I found the pattern it made quite pleasing to the eye, and also providing a good grip. This could be used to personalize a racket for example, or to make a grip for a flashlight... etc.
Simply staple the ends of the rubber strips, then cover with some plumber's or electrical tape.

Says Iwantacuracy. Have you actually looked at the article he used to support that claim? What you are experiencing is confirmation bias. Look it up if you don't know what that is. Why people from countries such as yours are predisposed to belittle American citizens would be an interesting study by itself.

Sounds like that might make some sharp finger scissors.

seems like that would be fail because it would pinch the *feces* out of your finger correct?

Always downing Americans. Doesn't show well on one's character, does it?
Aug 25, 2009. 1:11 PM8bit says:
The article used to assert your prejudiced and generalized view against Americans to the masses shows you might be lacking in a good deal of common sense. It speaks vaguely about an unsourced study sponsored by www.fakecrap.com and makes overreaching claims based on inadequate information.

I used a quite good quality finger trap once before, made of plastic, and I worked out how to undo it though it took a minute or two. If you made good strong ones then if you attached it to all of the person's fingers, that would be brilliant for stopping a person from doing a lot of things. Thanks for posting! BTW, did you come up with design yourself?

Fair enough, the way I look at it it's deffinitely your idea.

the tire one could be a slingshot band i see what you mean by "bad quality", the ones you buy are ussually some sort of husky material, except its fake so that it seperrates easily

when you are taping them into pairs, do you put one of the end's of the ribbon and put it at an 80 degree angle in the middle of the ribbon or at the end? & do youtape the pairs together?

It you do it right, then you can use it as handcuffs
Apr 8, 2008. 3:24 PMbabloon says:
Do you know that, in smaller scale, you can use it to fish a wire in walls ? You just tie the string at one end of the trap and insert the cable in the other end and voilà !

awesome i can never find anywere that seels them except crapy one you can get at places like cheddar o. chubbies (i call it that for humor) and spike shadow it because you body phsically and mentally know what happening and it contracts and tightens so it doesnt tickle thats why you can never repeat tripping or anything the same or hit your self in any pressure point (all though some people can hit certain pressure points and they get hurt cause it wont respond)
