This instructable will show you how to make a paper shaped heart, using an 8.5" x 11" sheet of paper.
Start with an 8.5" x 11" sheet of paper. Any color will do.
Fold top right hand corner, so that its edge aligns with the paper.
Repeat previous step with left corner.
Your paper should look like this.
Fold the paper back, at center crease.
Paper should have the following creases.
Fold at the center crease, pressing inward.
Fold the right hand corner upward, aligning it with the top point (creating a diamond shape).
Repeat previous step with the left hand corner, completing the diamond.
Fold the right hand side of the paper, aligning the edge with the bottom point of the diamond.
Fold the left hand side.
Flip the paper over.
Flip back approx. an inch and a half (1.5") of paper.
Flip down the triangular section at the top, making sure it folds all the way, at the original crease.
Fold the bottom right hand corner, creating a triangle that aligns at the bottom center of the paper.
Make sure you insert the triangle from the previous step in between the slot created by the larger triangle.
Repeat the previous two steps with the left bottom corner.
Fold the top right point toward the center right, to form the top shape of the heart.
Insert the remaining paper inside the slot created by the larger triangle, to hold the top in place.
Insert the remaining portion of the previous triangle into the slot created by the larger triangle.
Flip the paper over, and will you look at that??? You have created a paper heart!
