Step 3 Get your vectors on.

Now we need to translate your ideas into 3d using the modelling program. As a general rule of thumb work off the K.I.S.S. theory as the more complex you make it, the more trouble you are making for your self. Boxes are better than spheres and try and keep the vector count to a minimum.

Also, make sure that all your shapes are closed and connected together or you'll get angry red lines in pepakura that means that you wont be able to join the two edges together.

You need a model to unfold first made in a 3D program and saved in a format that pepakura likes (you can find this on thier webby if you google pepakura). Next when you have it loaded you need to see if there are any red lines on the 3d view - this means that the faces arent quite aligned or there are something is behind them. this can sometimes be a bugger to fix but keep at it. Hit unfold and then use the tools to jigger the flaps and join the faces to get it all looking the way you want. Not sure if there is a straight up tutorial on how to use it somewhere but its more or less straightforward... i hope. Hope this helps a lil, if not feel free to msg me. Tang Mu
