This short Ible shows how to sculpt a realistic polymer clay hot dog~
Step 1: Tools and materials:
Tools and materials:
-white, red brick, yellow and bright green Fimo clay (or any other brand of polymer clay)
-dark green, red, and amber chalk pastels
-clear nail polish
-thin copper wire or eye pin
plastic wrap & duct tape (to protect your desk)
Step 2: Lets get started!
Slice a thin band of green polymer clay, then use a toothpick to "prick up" the clay to sculpt the tiny salad leaves.
Make a tiny bun of white clay and slice it in half. Next, prick up the clay around the sliced area to add realistic details...
Take a small amount of red brick clay to form the sausage, then use a toothpick to trace 5 tiny slashes on the top and finally, assemble the hot dog.
Crush the chalk pastels into powder. Then, use a thin makeup brush to apply dark green pastel powder on the salad, take a larger brush to apply an amber colour all over the bun (don't insist on the edges).
Make a very thin log of yellow clay, twist it and add it to the hot dog, then insert an eye pin into the sausage.
Step 6: ~Bake the clay~
~Bake the clay according to the package recommendations~
