How to make a simple draw string pouch--no sewing required!

I’ve always loved the small and convenient jewelry pouches you get from jewelery stores like Brighton; I’ve reused mine many times for storing my camera, mp3, or phone. Now, you can make your own draw string pouch at home, no sewing machine or needle and thread needed! For jewelry makers, this is the perfect way to store those gifts. I also love using these pouches to store my jewelry in my luggage without losing it. 

There are many ways you can personalize this project: you can pick a funky fabric, or even sew on some embroidery. This project is also very inexpensive, and you probably have all of these materials at home in your sewing box. If not, the materials will cost you less than $10. 

Materials

Scissors
Ruler
Liquid Stitch Glue 
Fabric (5 in. x 16 in.)
Ribbon (2) 20 in. pieces

Step 1: Prepare your fabric

Fold your fabric over.
Place your fabric in front of you horizontally on a clear table. Take one of the shortest sides of the fabric and fold it over so that now it is inside out.

Measure and mark your ends.
Using your ruler, from the short and open end of the fabric, measure two inches from the edge.  Make a small mark. Repeat for the other three edges. (You should be making these marks on the “correct side” of the fabric).
