How to Make a Vertical Wind Generator (very Cheap)

In this Instructable, you will learn how to make an aerogenerator, with simple materials, and not much abbility. So Let's Go, and start!!!

Step 1: Cutting the Tubes

In this step, you will need 2  5 cm diameter tubes of PVC. You will cut them, to make "halfs" of tubes, like a semicircle. Please be carefull cutting, because it's so easy to do a "not right" cut.

Step 2: Cutting the Wood

Here, you will need 2 squares of 15x15 cm, made of wood. you will cut the corners of the wood, like "quarters of circle", to put then the tubes.

Step 3: Fixing the Tubes With the Wood

You will need for this step, some glue and about 10 nails. You will put the tubes, together with the wood, like appears in the image. First you will put the nails, and the you can glue the estructure.

Step 4: Electronic Part

For this part, you will need an AC electric motor, to generate the energy, but you will make a complete wave rectifier, with some diodes, and a capacitor, to estabilize the electric signal.

Step 5: Making the Rectifier

To make the rectifier, you will use 4 diodes, and you will conect them like appears in the picture. You can use a protoboard, or you can soldate the diodes. Then you will put a 10000 farad / 25 volts capacitor in the circuit, where is the output of DC signal.

Step 6: Adding LED's to the Circuit

This is a way to use the energy generated. You can put some white LED's of 3 Volts (max. 2 LED's, or it will be very difficult to generate the energy).
