This instructable tells you how to build an amazing vegan chocolate cake.I hope you enjoy doing this instructable as much as I did because it is a helthier and more delicious way to make cake. I just have one rule and that is to have fun! Enjoy!

Step 1What you will need

What you will need
These are the ingredients that you are going to need:


1 1/2 cups of unbleached white flour
5 teaspoons of unsweetened cocoa powder
1 teaspoon of baking soda
1/2 a teaspoon of salt
1 cup of organic sugar
1/4 cup of canola oil
1 teaspoon of apple cider vinegar
1 teaspoon of pure vanilla extract
1 cup of cold water
1 cup of semisweet vegan chocolate chips

The items you will need is a 8-inch 0r 9-inch glass or ceramic baking dish, an electric mixer or eggbeater, a wooden spoon and a large bowl.

If you are near a Trader Joe's, there semi sweet choc chips are vegan, and WHole Food's 365 brand is vegan, and they carry other brands that are vegan. Otherwise, you can search on Amazon, and they carry them or go to http://www.veganessentials.com for any and all vegan supplies you might need!

just a kind note regarding the sugar in the picture...
it is not exactly vegan, as c&h pure cane granulated white sugar is processed through bone char... although c&h pure cane RAW or turbinado sugar is NOT processed through bone char so that could be used instead, i'm sure.

From the picture you have shown it looks like this recipe might work better as a cupcake recipe. You should probably add more steps and pics next time. I may try this recipe for the neighbors down the street.
