Introduction: How to Make Delicious Cake Balls!

Have you ever had the desire to make something delicious and easy? Is there a cute girl that you would like to impress? Maybe you want something to make your party stand out? Well let me tell you, cake balls are good for almost any occasion!

In this step by step process I will show you the fundamentals of making the delicious cake ball treats.

Step 1: Ingredients

These are the ingredients that you will be needing to make the cake balls:

- Cake mix from a box (the flavor is up to you!)
- Toothpicks
- Frosting
- Baking chips (also your choice of what flavor!)
- Styrofoam cups
- Whatever ingredients are needed on the cake mix box (most likely vegetable oil, water, and eggs)

Step 2: Step 1: Baking the Cake

The first step is easy, just follow the instructions on the cake mix box and bake the cake!

Step 3: Step 2: Preparing the Cake Balls

After your cake has finished baking and cooled off a little bit you will then mash the cake up with either a mixer or your hands. Make sure that the cake is in fine crumb like pieces.

Once that is complete you will mix in some of the frosting in small increments until the consistency of the mix will cling together nicely. Once you have a good consistency, stick it in the fridge for about 5-10 minutes.

When that is done, take them back out and roll the mix into individual spheres (the size and shape are up to you). Then stick them all back into the fridge again for about 2-4 minutes.

Step 4: Coating the Balls in Chocolate

In this step you will melt the baking chips, the ones that you choose, in the microwave until they are a consistent liquid. After that you will take each individual sphere and dunk it into the melted chocolate until it is completely coated in chocolate (using a spoon will be helpful). Then place the balls back onto the tray. 

After all of the balls have been coated stick them back in the fridge until they harden.

Step 5: Decorate!

Decorate the cake balls in any way that you want! You can put sprinkles on it, or even drizzle some left over chocolate onto it, whatever you can think of! 

What I did was drizzle melted milk chocolate over the white chocolate coating to make it look very appetizing.

Side note: You may want to trim the excess chocolate around the edges after it has cooled.
