I don't have to use Limewire or anything like that, which is nice.
Also if you select the first couple of seconds of a song by highlighting them on Audacity, you can then go to EFFECT > Fade In. I like this that way if a ringtone is supposed to be an alarm, or I just didn't select the perfect amount of song, I can have it slowly fade in. You can do the same for FADE OUT and it's awesome.
I use http://www.myxer.com/make/ to upload the songs when I don't want to connect the phone to the computer. I can also then share the ringtones. :D
For instance, when I'm at my worplace, I usually use Make Own Ringtone Tool. It's free and fast and very easy to use even for a blonde like me ;)
