- Note: When washing and cutting your vegetables, make sure to pick out the white seeds and pieces of the green pepper.This prevents a bitter taste from the white spots of the green pepper.
Step 4: Wrapping/keeping Vegetables Fresh
Once all vegetables are cut, put them in a bowl or on a plate and place saran wrap on top.
Then, place your cut vegetables in the refrigerator. This will keep your vegetables fresh while you go through the next process.
Step 5: Creating Cream Spread
Now, it is time to create the first layer of the taco dip: the cream spread.
For this you will need a 9x13 inch pan, large bowl, mixer, rubber spatula, and butter knife.
First, mix the entire small container of sour cream and 8 oz. cream cheese in your bowl. Also put 1 table spoon of milk into the mixture.
Then, get out your electric mixer and blend all of the ingredients together.
- Warning: The electric mixer can be dangerous and messy. Make sure you have a steady hold on it to avoid an unwanted situation.
Once the the spread is mixed properly, take the rubber spatula and make sure that the spread is creamy enough.
After that, put the mix in the 9x13 inch pan.
Spread the mix from end to end of the pan with the rubber spatula and butter knife.
Once the mix is spread properly, you have the bottom part of the dip finished.
Step 6: Layering
Once you have the creamy spread in the 9x13 inch pan, it is time to put the layers of the dip together.
First, pour the taco sauce over the creamy spread.
Then, spread the taco sauce from end to end using the rubber spatula.
After that, take out the saran wrapped and chopped vegetables out of the refrigerator.
Spread the chopped lettuce and onions on top of the taco sauce.
Then, layer the chopped tomatoes on top of the layered lettuce and onions.
After that, spread the chopped green pepper and jalapenos, along with the shredded cheese on top of the entire taco dip concoction.
Then you have the finished product. Taco dip.
Step 7: Keep Fresh
When you are finally finished creating your taco dip, make sure that if you want to eat it later, you must saran wrap it and keep in the refrigerator,
