There are two ways to make a good paper popper that I am aware of. This Instructable will show you how to make both. Out of a piece of paper you can make a big pop that scares the people around you. This is great in school if your teachers don't care or you don't care to get in trouble.

Step 1: Materials

To make both of them you need to get paper, The lighter the paper the louder the pop, but sooner the rip. I suggest using notebook paper, it works great.
1- a notebook of paper(really only need two pieces)

Step 2: First Popper

This the popper I learned how to make first. I prefer to use this one because I discovered this one first.
Get the first piece of paper ready.
Now hold the paper where the lines are vertical, the holes should be closest to you.
Fold the paper up about 1.5 - 2 inches.

Step 3: Folding Up

Now continue folding the paper up until you have about 1 or less inches left. The less you have left the louder, but harder to use.

Step 4: Fold in Half

Now fold the paper in half so that the unfolded part is visible.
This is the last step in the making part.

Step 5: Popping

Now comes the hard to explain, but fun part. Hold the paper so that the unfolded part is vertical. Push the unfolded part into the folded part at the corner, this should make two pockets on the other side. Now hold the paper at the bottom corner where the unfolded was, between you thumb and middle of the index finger.
Now slam down hard and fast, you shouldn't be holding hard only hard enough it doesn't fly out of your hand.

Step 6: Second Popper

Now here is the second popper that you can make. This popper is what everybody at my school makes and uses.

Step 7: Fold in Thirds

Hold the paper so that the lines are running horizontal. Now fold the paper in thirds, the paper should stay the same width but be shorter.

Step 8: Fold in Half

now you have to fold the paper in half, after making in thirds. Many times I fold the paper in half the wrong way, in order to tell you look at the middle of the two sides and see that the middle pieces should be two single edges, If it is two folded edges old in half the other way.

Step 9: Popping

Now here is the popping. Just like in the other one you have to make two pockets, two do this you grab the middle pieces and push them to the other side to make the pockets. Now hold the bottom corner on the other side of the pockets. Again swing down hard and fast. Don't hold this hard, but only hard enough that it won't fly out of your hand.
