How to make your own Deadmau5 Mau5head!

Step 5Wrapping the head in felt

Wrapping the head in felt
Lightly sand your head so the glue can stick to the surface. Use your fabric scissors to cut large strips of felt that would cover large portions of the head without crinkling. Spray on some Tacky glue an stretch the fabric nice and tight. Cut the excess felt leaving an inch of extra felt. Make cuts in the excess felt. start folding and gluing the felt inside your head. Make slits on the sides for the ears to fit.

Just get a more stretchy material , i got a good looking fabric that nicely stretches over, but you still have no choice but to cut the fabric into 2 pieces to apply on the head.

Is there any way to make the felt look cleaner with less cut lines? I don't want it to look sloppy and no offense, but the only bad part about your mau5 head is the felt job.

one thing that could help is if you dont plan on ever opening it up(taking the 2 halves apart) to do any changes, do the whole hardhat installation before the felt, then put it back together. then you can do the felt without having to have it go in along the rims of the 2 peices

You can soak the felt in boiling water with starch and then work/stretch the fabric over the acrylic base, i.e., same way they make felt hats. http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&cd=1&ved=0CBUQFjAA&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ehow.com%2Fhow_5022317_iron-felt-fabric.html&ei=Qnc3TIaAHIrWtQOnvZ1S&usg=AFQjCNEbgSPiVAKqPcAtpS8f3i9TI6pU1g&sig2=35J3HDAMbUSByf31kkHEPA
