Good instruction! Password protect folders and files on Windows with compression program is very easy. And almost all compression programs such as Winzip, Winrar, 7 zip are freeware. But there's a little flaw for me, I must unzip the folder to view the contents and then re-zip it to protect. And sometimes it takes much time to zip when the file is very large. I've used Folder Protector later, and it works better in this case. In addition, I think TrueCrypt is also excellent.
