How to perform your own Tongue Bifurcation

Step 2Time for a new bind

Time for a new bind
Re-binding is by far the most difficult part of this whole procedure.
You will have to do this several times.

You will know it is time to rebind once your tongue returns to its normal shape. (It wont have that 'double bump' look at the front anymore).

Re-binding can be achieved in two possible ways.

1) Tie in a new binding without removing the previous binding. (Some people do this and it works fine)
Its important to note though that when you do this, eventually you will have to remove a binding. I would not go over two bindings in at one time.

2) Remove the first binding and tie in a second one. This admittedly is insanely painful. But its worth it. You do this by using a pair of scissors to cut the binding, which well be deeply hidden in your white, swollen tongue. The trick is to dig till you find the wire and make little snips till it pops undone. A small amount of blood during this is normal.
