This is me playing the first level of Halo: Combat evolved on the "Legendary" difficulty. I have sped up the video so I can upload the entire thing on Youtube without a part 2, but I have slowed down several parts of the video for easier viewing.

I have removed all gameplay audio from the video so you can hear my commentary on it a bit easier.

I do not die at all in this level, which is pretty nice.

Also sorry for the video for being in one corner, it was because the game is at maximum resolution, which was lower than my computer's resolution, resulting in the capture software putting black bars at the sides of the video.

Now you need Halo Reach: Pillar of Autumn on Legendary- That mission is insanely hard, especially the last part!

I beat that mission on Legendary solo, although I died a few times. Did you know there are exploits in the game that replenish spawned weapons ammunition and also de-load some high-ranking enemies in the game like Elites and Hunters?

Damn it. I should have asked for your advice on the legendary campaign last week! I have beat it now, its just a couple of really tough parts on the last mission that stumped me :) Anyway, so I can help my friends, what are these exploits?

There's a few but they are there. On the third level when you get to the part with the Powerhouse map on it, drive the forklift up to the closed gate, so that you're parallel to it, and get out. If parked right you should be "pushed" through the gate and there are no enemies the rest of the level.

On The Pillar of autumn, When you get to the boneyard area, turn around and go to the part where you triggered the cutscene. The game should pause for a few seconds. This de-loads all elites in the boneyard area, and refreshes all ammo supplies.

In the room before the area with the 2 hunters, jumping on certain pipes, then crouch jumping onto the top, then running past will let you bypass the 2 white elites, and de-loads the hunters.

In the final room where you try and get on the mass drivers, you can bypass 2 of the elites in the room by crouch jumping onto the top and walking around the perimeter on a beam. Keep in mind that you have to kill 2 of them to make them retreat closer to the mass driver so you can actually access the blue robot arm in the corner directly across from the door. You can wait out in the gap between the platform and the stairs to avoid fire from the 2 remaining elites (although I recommend taking out the one with the fuel rod in case they spot you)

Ah screw this, this is a bit too long. Look up MythicTyrant on Youtube, he has some sweet walkthroughs that I consider better than people like NextGenTactics.

Sure :) I found one as well. In the part of the Pillar of Autumn with the hunters, you can crouch-jump through the window next to the door, completely bypassing them. (you have to kill both hunters to open the door)

Yes. Much harder. Don't even attempt legendary by yourself on the last couple missions, unless you are epicly beasty. I'm not that bad, and I have a hard time on Heroic on a couple missions. Oh, and get this: OK, in Halo 3, it was pretty much cheating with four people. Now, they scale the difficulty, so it isn't quite so easy. It's still easier, nut not by much.

I just did it on legendary alone. It is insane how overpowered some enemies are on reach. It took 3 direct grenade launcher hits on a brute leader with shields, just to take his shields off! The last mission is sooooo hard. t has taken me roughly 3 hours to complete over 4 days.

I know. It's just the fat ba***ards at the end witht the shields. The needle actually takes less needles to kill a brute than a grunt (that's what I found anyway)

I know this is old, but...

I think when the city was being glassed it took down all of their shields, seeing as how it was similar to a grenade explosion. Also, she had taken her helmet off if I remember correctly, so that probably was a factor too.

Sorry, I tell myself this stuff to explain things I don't understand, I'm sure there's some explanation.

Ah, fond memories. I play with my brother by punching everything and running. The last part with the fusion core detonation is that fastest, we're a pretty good team. The longest part is the warthog part because he blows me up and suicides everytime I get to the ramp.
