This next step will explain how to usb loader on your Wii.

Before you can install usb loader to your Wii you first need the files in your SD card.

Unrar the usb hack rar file with Winrar or 7-Zip and copy the contents of the "Copy contents to root" folder to the root of your SD card. Pretty self explanatory. If you get a window asking you to merge folders click yes. Now comes the tricky part.

(Optional: You can also download the covers for the games.
The reason I say it's optional is because it contains over 1300 game covers and will occupy 100 MB in your SD card. But it's convenient to have so you don't have to squint to read the game text on the tv. Just download it, uncompress the Covers zip file with 7-ZIP and drag the covers folder to the usb-loader folder in the root on your SD card.. You will get a prompt to merge folders and click yes )

Remove any Gamecube memory cars and Gamecube controllers from the Wii.
Insert the SD card into your Wii, turn the Wii on and go to the Homebrew channel.

Click on "cIOS36rev10" and click load. The screen will go black for a second and you will then be in the cIOS36rev10 installer. Use the directional arrows to choose WAD installation and click A. After a few minutes it will have completed the installation of cIOS rev 10.
Now, restart your wii, go back to the Homebrew channel, and go to Wad Manager 1.3 and click load.
Choose the SD card, press A, then choose the WAD "USBLoadermodBrisma.wad" and press the + button on your Wii remote. After a few moments it will have completed installing the USB channel.
Press "HOME" on your Wii remote to restart your Wii.

I'm having an issue here. My homebrew channel doesn't show anything on the screen except for "The Homebrew Channel" on the bottom left and a wifi logo on the bottom right. Aside from that, it's just bubbles when I put the SD card in. The card is formatted to fat, and I copied the file to the root. Not sure what I'm missing here.

I had the same problem back when i first put the HomeBrew channel on my wii.

All you have to do, is go onto: www.wehackwii.pbworks.com

Click "Wii Channels" in the sidebar on the right, from there, you want to scroll down to the "HomeBrew Browser" Channel

Download it, extract, put into Root of SD Card

RePlug you SD Card into your Wii

Launch HomeBrew Channel, and then

ENJOY ^_^

Hi there, I'm hoping you can help me sort out my problem.
I resently installed the homebrew channel in my Nintendo wii and it all went well.
I am now trying to install the USB loader application following your instruction, I get as far as viewing the "cIOS36rev10" loader and clicking on it, but then my screen goes black and it stays like that, I've left on on for as long as 5mins but nothings happens.
Is there something else I should know, or is there a way around this?
By the way I recently updated my nintendo wii to the latest version.
Any help will be greatly appreciated!

This really sucks, I think it may have to do with being updated to the 4.2 update.  Is there anyone who knows the fix for this, I have homebrew installed, and as soon as I try to open any of the files from my SD card to try and get it started, the screen goes black, the wiimote disconnects, and the only solve is a hard boot.

Right everybody here is the best way to get everything working on any wii no matter what firmware!!!! Download Dop Mii it works in your homebrew channel and when you go onto it it lets you delete all of the iso's nintendo have put there to stop piracy or even just downgrade it also lets you downgrade from 4.2 to any system firmware. Then download pimp my wii and launch from homebrew and press install pass tests and fix problems go right through this then whenever you want to install a wad u use ios 36 no matter what it is. Then download usb loader gx wad download if you dont have wad manager you need to download that to install the wads all of these files can be easily found in google all are free!! Download cios rev 14 also from google and install from homebrew to ios36 this can only be done after using pimp  my wii, once this is installed you will have no problem installing and running any games from a external usb hdd any questions please adk i know it sounds complicated but this is really easy to do. Any questions ask i will help !!!!!!

for my part i've used "pimp my wii" from wii-info.fr, it updates your ios to the required versions to make most hacks run, including updates for the shop channel and most other online nintendo channels.

Hi all, i am having the same issues as people below, when trying to install the "cIOS36rev10", same thing the Wii freezes on the black screen and Wiimote disconnects.  I have looked all over but cannot find the line that Razr is refering to.  Any help would be greatly appreciated as i am very new to this thing.
I did upgrade the firmware to 4.3 so wonder if this is the  issue.

Help!!!!
