How to prolong clothing life and track its use in a small closet

 by Erulisse
Sometimes you wear something and you don't sweat. You can wear it again without washing it. It's better for the environment, it saves you money, it'll also make your clothing last a bit longer. Here's an easy way to track articles of clothing, categorize them, and easily identify what needs washed/ thrown out.

I love it! Simple and quick to initiate. I have often thought it would be nice to have a system to do exactly this, but i end up daydreaming of possibilities and spend more time thinking then it would take to do it. Thanks.

How about flipping the hanger so that the hook is facing towards you and flipping it back after you've worn it?

i, too, save shirts if they are not dirtied in the few hours i wore them. however i'm always too lazy to hang them back up. they end up on a chair.

Maybe I'm missing something, but I don't get how this system helps "fit a Huge amount of clothing in a very small closet" as you said in your last step.

I have aproximately 50 shirts and 12 pants crammed into a 2.5 foot space. They are all easily identifiable because of the color coated hangers.

Great idea! I also have a small closet, and since I work in an office I have loads of these clips kicking around my apartment! Now all I need is to find me some colour hangers, all I have are the crummy bare metal ones from a dry cleaners. :(
