3 Simple Ways to
Share What You Make

With Instructables you can share what you make with the world — and tap into an ever-growing community of creative experts.

PhotosPhotos

Share one or more photos of a project, recipe, or whatever you've made, quickly and easily.

Step by StepStep-By-Step

Share your step-by-step photos with text instructions of what you made so others can do it too!

VideoVideo

Share your how-to video. You'll need your embed code from a video site such as YouTube.

Make any digital image into a tattoo on a photo

Step 5Utilization

Utilization
Share the image with your friends and family or merely keep it for your own reference, the choice is yours.

If you are doing this as a prank (as I was in this particular instance) I recommend a smaller image size as the final product, as its less easily detected as a fraud. Email to prankee in the most nonchalant way you can manage.

Hope folks find this Instructable fun and useful! I recognize that this isn't the only way of doing this- so please feel free to post any suggestions in the comments!

I added a little red to make it look "fresh". I have a mild obsession for jackalopes so it was probably expected by my friends to get a "tattoo" of one.

Time to sit back and enjoy the chaos.

Any chance you'll post your mum's response? This is really useful, i think i'll do this to a pic of my girlfriend's back and tell her what happened when she got drunk, heheheh. Thanks mate!

For a more realistic prank, consider adding red to emphasize the freshness of the tattoo? :3 I'm sure that's a little advanced and requires a little more artistic skill, but could really stump some people. Then again, I suppose it may be too much effort for a quickie prank. XD

Ha! ^^ I've done this before, the results were almost ruefull!! XD
If you don't want to buy photoshop, there's a programe called PainttoolSAI. It's free and it has the 'multiply' and 'opasity' settings, but it's not as complicated as photoshop.

Thanks for the PainttoolSAI suggestion. Any suggestions for Macs?

Gimp is open source and has most of the features of photoshop. He mentions it in the instructable. I've used it. It's pretty cool.

GIMP works OK on Macs... Even better is Pixelmator which sells for just $59.
