About: My name is Alen and i study electronic engineering. I love to make anything that needs electricity, hack and mod things as well building anything AWESOME...

You have some old markers (felt tip pen) that you dont use ??
I will show you how to repair them and how to shorten them

Step 1: What You Will Need

You will need:
Markers
Scissors
Some knife (x-acto or somthing similar)
Gloves
Ink
Pliers
Sandpaper
Hot glue gun (optional)

Step 2: Removing Plug

Remove the plug from the pen.
Set the plug aside.

Step 3: Cutting and Refiling Marker

Now you need to cut marker.
When you cut it you need to sand it so the cap will go nice inside.
Inside is piece of felt wrapped in plastic.
You need to cut that thing and refill it.

Step 4: Close It

Now close it and let it stay for a  1-2h

i like how you found a way to restore old markers,i will most definitely try this ,thanks for the help man.

Awesome job reusing! I love that you shortened them too, they make those pens way too long :)

I've fooled around with dead pens and markers some myself. Then I happened upon this bin at a yard sale

I got the whole thing for $3 I actually took that picture after I pulled a lot of markers out of it, about 43 highlighters. The lady I bought it off of must be the world's worst pen kleptomaniac!

What kind of ink are you refilling the markers with? It looks like ink jet ink but you don't say so I'm not sure.
