Step 1Getting on!

Getting on!
The first picture is how you should look when you try to get on and the you push with your back foot and put it on the board and just try to stay on the first time. As you get better you can start faster but for now just go slow. when you start you should have a friend to help you out with it so you can hold their shoulders.

I've got a smaller one, about 2/3 the size of this one and its so much better for carving and a lot more portable. I think that these are a lot more clumsy and are a lot harder to use than mine. however I can't do tricks on mine. so you compromise.

I thought your Instructable was great, but I think you should have shown the different ways to put your feet on the ripstik when you are starting it. I'm "Goofy Footed", so I start with my left foot at the back of the board and push off with my right foot. One of my friends starts with his left foot on the front of the board and pushes off with his right foot and then puts his right foot on the back. There are multiple ways to ride the Ripstik/waveboard, I picked the way that was most comfortable to me. It all depends on which of your legs is dominant. (My right leg is dominant I think)
