How to root your stubborn Samsung Intercept (the easiest way)
well, i know there are ways of rooting the Samsung intercept, basically replacing the kernel. well, my phone will not mount to a computer so THAT want a option. 

so a little bit of internet surfing, i found a little program that is simalar to androot. in fact, 2 different ones.
z4root.apk and interceptroot.apk

i had luck with the interceptroot.apk

Step 1Download, install, root

1) first, open your phones browser. Google the apk file you prefer (again, interceptroot is desined to work with the intercept. it worked for me runing the sprint 2.2.1 ROM)

2) download the file (.apk)

3) go to your phone's settings (not browser) applications > unknown sources and check the box

4) go under your SD card files, and find the .apk
 (most likely, it is under the "downloads" folder)

5) click it, and install it

6) open the app, click "ROOT", and wait patiently 


your phone after several minuets should restart CONGRATULATIONS, YOU HAVE ROOTED YOUR PHONE!
