Before you begin to sew with actual thread, you have to practice without thread. Put the paper under the presser foot and use the presser foot lever to bring the presser foot down. Press down on the foot pedal gently. It's like driving, the faster you press, the faster the needle will go up and down. To turn curved angles. To turn sharp angles ,stop at the corner, use the handle to lower the needle into the corner,lift the presser foot, turn the paper, lower the presser foot, and keep sewing. Print out the pictures on this step and practice sewing the outline to them or you can copy and paste them into Microsoft Word.
