Lay the cloth wrong side up on your ironing board.

Go to the outside edge of one of the smaller panels and fold over the fabric so you're looking at a small strip of the right side. (Preferably 1/2 to an inch.)

Press like a mad person, get it good and flat!

Repeat this on the other small panel!

Now, you'll sew these up using the same 1/2 inch seam allowance. :D
