Introduction: How to Take Owner's Password Off of a .pdf Because You Want to Copy It. MAC

Hi, this tutorial will teach you how to take the owner's password off of a locked .pdf on a Mac.

This is hit and miss, as I was making this tutorial the .pdf I made with the passwords deleted itself... but I had two other .pdf's that I bought and wanted to save as .png to use on a laser cutting machine.

(edit) I just found out that you have to be able to print and view the .pdf, this tutorial is just how to copy it.

IF YOU DO THIS AND YOU DO NOT HAVE PERMISSION TO PRINT IT OR COPY IT, THEN THIS WILL ERASE THE .PDF

Step 1:

Step 1: open the .pdf

(If there is no password to view it, skip to step 3)

Step 2:

Step 2: Type in the view-only password (if there is one)

Step 3:

Step 3:  You should now see the .pdf

Step 4:

Step 4: Select some text anywhere on the page and press the delete button once then release

Step 5:

Step 5: Go to File>Save All and select it

Step 6:

Now go to the location of the file and you should see that the black lock was removed and you can now print and copy it.I   STRONG DO NOT RECOMMEND YOU USE THIS TUTORIAL UNLESS YOU CAN RE-DOWNLOAD THE .PDF, this is quite simply a last resort.
