How to use Wikipedia!

This will be (the first?) instructable on wikipedia. Much of it is self-explanatory; It is an online encyclopedia that anyone with a computer or web-enabled device can edit. I will explain all of the different parts of Wikipedia as i can manage right now. You can help by commenting on my work, and giving me some of your knowledge.

Step 1: Pick your language!! Almost any language...

Wikipedia has been translated by a bunch of linguists,and be proud of their work. So far, it would be a good thing to understand English, as it has the most articles for any language.

"all you need to know about Wikipedia" doesn't include a link or URL that I can see. And your "how to" is mainly these: Pick your language!! Give the search button a try! whenever you notice something wrong in the text, change it! Click that you can also type in the search bar, "WP:CATS." You could add a lot more "how" to this? L

Ah, yes now it makes sense - I've been there. Do you edit Wikipedia? I think some instructablisation around that might be a good thing?

Ah, back to subject. I do edit wikipedia sometimes, done a chunk of editing, and had conversations by email with Jimmy Wales. Still, someone really should update the wiki on Instructables... Thanks. I should put this article up for collaboration...

yeah, L, but i get to choose what goes on as the sole editor of the article. yeah, thats one concept wikipdia revolved around, sharing of knowledge. SP
