Well, I go to a computer based school, with nearly all tech savvy teachers. I haven't got caught once. And this was also meant more for students who can bring there computers home and wants to use it for facebook and stuff.

Again, I can boot off of usb on my high school issued laptop. Most IT managers don't think much of the students. They underestimate my inteligence with computers. This how-to guide isn't even a fraction of what i know. So, if you have a better way, please, i would love to hear it.

Simple enough I suppose. When I was in high school a few years ago I'd do something similar though I got a tad more creative.

I would also set up persistence (Ubuntu call's it "Casper Cow" for reasons that are beyond me) and set it to also have Vidalia, Tor, and Torbutton installed since my school's web blocker used it's DNS servers rather than client-side software.

At one point we needed to actually install software (in Windows) in one of our classes. Our teacher was fine with this (it was a class computer and several students needed this program). My friends and I conducted a rainbow tables attack on the Windows password file to figure out our local admin password.

yeah, we all would already be doing this if it weren't for the fact that most school in their right minds password protect the bios too.

still, if your school is terrible, I'm sure this'll be great for them

... and while you're battering away and calling up non-standard screens, your teacher will, of course, not notice anything happening at all, will they?

>sigh<

Funny thing is, they won't notice in my experience.

I believe this wasn't done intentionally but this instructable seems to be very similar to one I published earlier and submitted to this competition. If it was done intentionally I would appreciate it if credit was given. If not just disregard this comment.
