Wireless printing is a useful tool that most printers come with the capability to do, but the initial set-up for wireless printing can be difficult. Following these instructions however, will make the process easier.
Step 1: Getting to the Wireless Settings
The top picture is the home screen on the printer. Touch the wireless button, the second button from the left, which looks like an antenna with two blue curves on either side.
From there, touch the "Settings" button on the bottom-left side of the screen.
Step 2: Starting the Wireless Setup Wizard
- On this screen, select the "Wireless Setup Wizard"
- If this is the first time you are setting this up, you will not see the second screen, but if you are having connection issues and are trying to re-set up the connection, you will see the second screen.
Then select "Yes" to start the setup
Step 3: Search for Wireless Routers
From the next screen, select "continue" to have the printer check for wireless routers
Step 4: Select a Network
When router(s) have been detected, you will be asked to select one from the list.
Step 5: Connecting to the Network
After you click on your router from the list, you will be prompted to enter the password.
- This will be the password you use to connect the computer and/or any wireless devices such as phones and iPads to the network.
- If you do not know the password, you can contact your ISP.
Step 6: Final Stage
It will prompt you to confirm the setup and to check the spelling of the password and the name of the router you are connecting to.
The final screen will confirm your connection to the wireless network and you will now be able to print wirelessly.
*If the connection was unsuccessful, you should check your internet connection and/or password
