Step 7Internal Parts

The Anode, (positive electrode) comprises a stack of SS washers and nuts. Next is the "neutral" electrically unconnected inner tube which is fastened down to the base with the inner spacer.

Last pic is a shot down the tubes to see how it fits together.

It depends on whats available to you, which is why I didnt mention specific sizes.
I used 24mm dia washers, a 31mm inner tube followed by a 41mm outer tube.

Ideally you want the voltage across the center rod and inner tube to be equal/very close to the voltage across the inner tube and outer tube, which in practice is hard to do with tubes.
The series flat stacked plate design is far superior in this regard.
