I Spy with a twist

I Spy with a twist
This is a short and sweet Instructable

We play this game with our children on a long trip.

Before leaving we create a list of items for each child, these lists vary in there complexity depending on the age of the child.

The child marks off the list the items they ‘spot’ as you drive but the item must be verified by one of the adults in the car (this avoids arguments).

By looking out the window of the car the children tend not to get carsick plus it helps to past the time for all in the car as people form into teams to help each other out.

Step 1Create the lists

Create the lists
Below are two short examples of the lists, one harder than the other.

List one:

Letterbox
Stop Sign
Red Car
A sign with 50 on it
Dog
Picket fence
Cow
Bridge
Sign with the letter R in it

List 2:

Green house roof
White horse
Stone House
Yellow line on the road
Turn left sign
Purple car
House with 5 windows
Sign with W, H and T on it

These lists usually contain at least 20 items each. The children are given the lists as you start the journey.

The child marks off the list the items they ‘spot’ as you drive but the item must be verified by one of the adults in the car (this avoids arguments).
