Here is how to make an awesome mask. The mask is made completely out of recycled milk jugs. My dad helped me with the idea because we had looked up Japanese masks before. So I decided to make a mask out of plastic. Since this is my first Instructable I hope you like it. Tell me what you think of the mask . WARNING you will be working with lots of heat please be careful . Also don't be stupid and mold the really hot plastic with your own face . Follow the steps and you will come out with a minimal amount of first degree burns.

do you wear those straws only when you sleep or do you also wear them out during the day . and I liked the mask before you put the clay on it that would look good on a wall especially with the cracks in it "looks real old " "nice straws".

To make it look REALLY scary, you could probably use a couple of red LEDs behind the eyes to good effect. The plastic should diffuse the light to make them glow.

It wouldn't be too difficult to make a concave version to give THIS effect.

Actually, you've already done it! Turn the mask over and the concave side is the side which was in contact with the plaster. Try lighting it in different ways to see if you can get the effect. Try standing some distance away, with one eye shut, then move from side to side. (Closing one eye will stop your depth perception and make it easier for your brain to 'see' it as a real face.)

Does it matter what kind of plastic you use .
