I (heart) Accuracy Brownies

 by shesparticular

These aren't just moist and delicious, they're also anatomically correct.

If you're going to make brownies for Valentine's Day (or any other day, for that matter), why not accurately express how you really feel?

I like brownies and it's a change from the traditional heart shaped like a woman's bum as she is bending over

Thanks :)

Does the powdered sugar stay when the brownies are handled? I think maybe very lightly brushing the top of the brownie with a little sugar-syrup before dusting the powder on may help it stick well, if not?
shesparticular (author) in reply to kimithySep 10, 2010. 11:30 AM
I haven't had much of a problem with it brushing off, but sugar syrup sounds like a great idea if you wanted to make sure it was really held in place well. Thanks so much for the comment!

Thanks, Lft. . .and thanks for not picking on my apparently sad-looking heart.
stallionspirit8 in reply to shesparticularMar 5, 2009. 3:24 AM
its not sad-looking! I could tell it was a heart! on the.... ummm... last page? but its sugary, so its not sad!
Lftndbt in reply to shesparticularFeb 9, 2009. 9:03 PM
No problems.

Perhaps the issue is that your heart is too accurate. Apparently some people have never viewed a heart before.
galactiphat says: Feb 18, 2009. 1:59 PM
Not tooting my own horn or anything, but I noticed it was a heart right off the bat!

Nice instructable =]

Thanks - and thanks for the comments, everyone else! I'm sorry if maybe it wasn't clear to everyone, but I think it's at least passable.

couldn't tell that that was a heart! great instructable!
Tamaresque in reply to Sandisk1duoFeb 15, 2009. 6:16 PM
I couldn't tell that was a heart, either - and I read it as "One to less than three accuracy brownies". I thought the name was intriguing, so I clicked!
Lftndbt in reply to Sandisk1duoFeb 9, 2009. 12:39 AM
Really?

LoL
shesparticular (author) in reply to Sandisk1duoFeb 8, 2009. 1:22 PM
I guess it's not perfect, but it's pretty tough when it's about a 2 inch square image. . .maybe it's fair to say it's "heart-like"

Rather than manually erasing the filled in areas of your anatomical image, you could also use a convert to line drawing process. I googled for photoshop convert line drawing and got lots of hits, here's one of them. Useful for those of us with less steady mouse hands! :) Similar tutorials exist for Gimp and any other image manipulation program one might fancy.
shesparticular (author) in reply to PurpleHelFeb 10, 2009. 8:04 PM
Thanks, heldc, I thought of that after I'd done it and didn't think to add anything in about that. I haven't used this method, but it seems like it'd make it easier (though the cutting still means having a steady hand).

2 thumbs up! I believe I might just try this.
pineapplenewton says: Feb 8, 2009. 2:15 PM
Really good idea but its too bad that the final product isn't recognizable as a hart w/out seeing the first image.
Lftndbt in reply to pineapplenewtonFeb 9, 2009. 12:39 AM
Are you sure?
temp says: Feb 8, 2009. 4:37 PM
What does the sign on your computer say?
shesparticular (author) in reply to tempFeb 8, 2009. 4:39 PM
It's a Chicago street sign (born and raised here); they're all over here, mostly in alleys and on smaller streets where they're put in to slow people down a bit - it says "Speed Hump Ahead"
omnibot in reply to shesparticularFeb 8, 2009. 6:38 PM
Heh, very sensible sign that :)
temp in reply to shesparticularFeb 8, 2009. 5:45 PM
lol =P. Thanks for telling me!
hydrnium.h2 says: Feb 8, 2009. 5:55 PM
Strangely, enough, that's why valentine hearts are shaped so unlike real hearts, because in the middle ages artists couldn't make the hearts in stained glass in enough detail to have it look real. So they just replaced it with a pink blobby thing. Actually, I don't know if this is true. But it sure sounds cool, doesn't it?
gmjhowe says: Feb 8, 2009. 3:58 PM
Well, brownies, and the use of a ASCII heart, you get my vote..
