IKEA sink with wood vanity

IKEA sink with wood vanity
I liked the size and price of IKEA's HýLLVIKEN sink but did not like the cheap particle board IKEA cabinet that was supposed to go with it. I decided to build my own.

Step 1Building the cabinet

Building the cabinet
I knew the exact measurements of the sink and I drew out plans for the cabinet. I found a reference image online of a cabinet that I liked.

When I had the plan drawn out, I cut all my wood pieces and sanded them. I then used wood glue and heavy duty screws to put the pieces together.

I've attached the cabinet plans in a PDF to show you the exact measurements for all your wood pieces.

Where did you get the awesome hardware for the drawer?

Also, how much did the whole project cost? I'd love to do the same thing but wonder if it's comparable in cost to buying something ready made.

very nice. I've been wanting to do this for a while, just the way you've done it, with that same sink, even. I could really use some pictures of the way you've attached it to the wall, as well as whatever tricks you can share on building boxes that are square--as an amateur, I'm afraid mine will be crooked.

Great project! It isn't very "instructable" though.....
