Idiots guide to making a yugioh deck

this guide will show you how to build a yugioh deck to play with. also this is my first instructable so i hope you like it. this instructable is based on you knowing how to play and the different parts of a card.

Step 1: Pick a monster atribute

first we need to pick a monster atribute you want to base your deck around. the atribbutes are dark, light, fire, wind, water,and earth. there is also divine but not many cards have that attribute.

yeah, what about fusions. i am an experienced player, but i don't seem to havea really good deck, i mean it is good enough to beat someone in a duel, but i don't know how many fusions i should have in my deck. oh, and this is a good instructable for beginners and middle class players. it was very helpful in many ways for me at least.

 You don't keep your fusions in your deck. You keep all your fusion cards that you could possibly use (i.e. have both the monster cards and spell card in your deck for) in a separate deck call your fusion deck, which you keep off to the side. You don't shuffle these or anything, they are just there if you have the opportunity to use them. They aren't really that useful in my opinion, but that might just be my play style.

I have quite a few bones to pick with this instructable: 1. It's not "alot harder" to build your deck on a type. Actually, it depends on the type. Machines, Dinosaurs, and Dragons are a few easy ones. 2. Why didn't you combine steps 1 and 2? Just say "Base your deck on a type or attribute." 3. Why even mention Divine? There are 3 cards with the Divine attribute, and they're the god cards that say "These cards cannot be used in a duel."

i use a beatdown deck... lotsa powering up cards and powerfull monsters no real acutall theme...

You might understand this but I don't. The most I've got with respect to actually building the deck is keep a good balance of cards. You could add a lot more detail with regard to how the deck construction affects game play, i.e. to say more about step 3. And if you consider that a lot of people here are much older than you, it would help to explain what the game is and roughly how you play it (I've got a good enough idea) L

if you didnt read the first slide it states that you must already know how to play and that you know you must have atleast 40 cards in your deck but the third step thing i get and ill try to work on it.
