I then ran a piece of high test fishing string through a small hole on the other side of the building (drilled) and attached to a key ring outside. On the other end I attached a string to the on/off switch so that we can turn it off from outside. When the door opens it just pulls the magnet away and the sound is loud through the computer speakers. The outside off pull is hidden behind some bushes.
I wonder if there would be a way to wire the alarm so the power would cut out when the bike is turned on.
Yes.. I am able to assemble a electronic gadget to do that but then I might as well make a bigger louder one if I am gonna do some soldering!!
LOL... I wanted clean and simple.
But, soon to come, some useful gadgets I have yet to make! Stayed tuned!!!!
I have made these as I am placing them on my gas scooter under a tarp then I will attach strings to the ends of the tarp so when someone lifts the tarp up I will hear the alarm, it is only a deterrent.
These are actually cheap window door alarms....
