LOUD Scooter or Bike Alarm for One Dollar!

I own a 2009 49cc Scooter by Jonway and I wanted a Alarm for it, problem is Alarms on the Internet cost 10 dollars up to 400!

So I made one for One Buck!!!!

Step 1:

The alarm should be rigged in the way the potential thief cannot turn the alrm off by turning the switch. The switch should be fixed in a way it cannot be shut off but by manaully through taking the batteries out to stop the alrm.

I made an alarm for my dad by using this in his storage shed. It had been broken into twice. I used your setup and attached the alarm in the rafters, removed the batteries and hooked it up to a wall wart with about the same power with the batteries compartment removed and put alligator clips on the battery terminals. I also disconnected the small speaker inside and ran the wires to a set of self powered old computer speakers also placed into the rafters.

I then ran a piece of high test fishing string through a small hole on the other side of the building (drilled) and attached to a key ring outside. On the other end I attached a string to the on/off switch so that we can turn it off from outside. When the door opens it just pulls the magnet away and the sound is loud through the computer speakers. The outside off pull is hidden behind some bushes.

You could make this motion activated by making sure the magnet hangs against the alarm when the kickstand is in place.  Then if the bike moves, it will fall away and the alarm will go off.  When you get on the bike, simply secure the magnet. 

I wonder if there would be a way to wire the alarm so the power would cut out when the bike is turned on.

Yes.. I am able to assemble a electronic gadget to do that but then I might as well make a bigger louder one if I am gonna do some soldering!!

LOL... I wanted clean and simple.

But, soon to come, some useful gadgets I have yet to make! Stayed tuned!!!!

I am glad you asked, simply attach the alarm on a spot where you would like, then on the key ring you attach a lite rope or thick nylon string, when the string is pulled the dongle moves away from the body of the alarm and the alarm shrieks!

I have made these as I am placing them on my gas scooter under a tarp then I will attach strings to the ends of the tarp so when someone lifts the tarp up I will hear the alarm, it is only a deterrent.

These are actually cheap window door alarms....
