Cool and awesome, hey by the way do you know if there is such a theme for Windows XP to make it look like Windows 7, transparent like the toolbars and start menu?
Stardock makes a tool that makes a theme quite similar to windows 7, but as far as actually making it look like 7 im not sure...
i think the tool was called skinstudio.

Huh. My brother installed this theme and got the Vista start button as well, somehow. Then he clicked on something else and it changed to the XP one. Any ideas on why it happened? Other than that, it was a great instructable. It goes great with black monitors/laptops.

Oh, I'm sorry. I hope you don't mean that you actually put this theme together, because then I'd feel bad.

Ignore him, Microsoft made the theme and never released it. Thats why you don't need to patch the uxtheme.dll

you just change the files of the gui in windows, and pack it into a theme file

Only on UNIX systems, not Windows. Go ahead and go to your run dialogue, and see if there's a difference. There won't be.

please may you tell me why when you say 100% legal you really mean its got loads of bugs and spyware? my internet speed plummeted and i found it hard to do anything! please tell me why or fix this problem (if it wasn't intentional)

Your comp probably slowed down because your graphics card can barely handle the high graphics of this theme. Just install a different, less graphics-intensive theme, and it should be good as new.
well you have spyware on your pc it signed by microsoft so that is not a virus

Dude... It's a theme. It can't do any of it. Heck, I even had people below say it sped up their computer.

says:
Similar to what I said above, if you switch from a really highly graphics-intensive theme to this one, your computer can speed up. Graphics is one of the most demanding resources competing with the CPU, and it can have a major effect on computer speed.

No, the Vista uxtheme.dll is different, and thus can't interact with themes designed for the XP dll or OS. Sorry
