Now you all must be wondering that why am i writing
"Installing Custom Firmware (easy) when you have lost all hopes!!"
let me tell you there are several type of motherboards!
exactly 3 types.... but i am not goin to tell you every single one of em.... i am just going to tell you about the motherboard that concerns us! and that mother board is "TA-088 v.3" cannot be hacked!! (but i will show u a way :D)

Step 1:

Rite then shall we begin. First of all we have to check wether it is "TA-088 v.3" or NoT!
most of the PSP 2000 (slim) have this type of motherboard! and dont believe anyone if they say it cant be hacked!!

Ayte then lets continue first off! we will need ChikHEN R2!

Step 2: EXECUTION :D

Installing ChickHEN R2 steps! WARNING::YOUR PSP MUST BE UGRADED TO 5.03!! not less or more!!

ok before continuing goto settings in psp console then goto system settingsand set
UMD Auto start..... OFF!
and below all the things that are ON such as USB charge and ALL the things ON..... switch it to OFF!!

1: DOWNLOAD ChickHEN R2
2: OPEN THE FOLDER
3: THERE WILL BE 3 FILES THAT ARE OF IMPORTANCE ! (h,SLIM,PHAT)
4: CONNECT PSP
5: DRAG THE h FILE TO PSPs FOLDER (My Computer/Removalble Disk)
6: THE SLIM and PHAT FOLDERS DEPEND ON YOUR PSP WHETHER IT IS PHAT OR SLIM
7: DRAG THE SLIM OR PHAT FOLDER TO PICTURE FOLDER OF PSP
(My Computer/Removable Disk */ PICTURE)
8: CREATE A NEW FOLDER INSIDE PSP (My Computer/Removalble Disk) and
RENAME IT.............. ISO
9: DISCONNECT PSP
10:GOTO Photo of PSP console! and there will be a folder of Chickhen enter in it and then let the PSP do its job ;) !!

Tips: if the chickhen R2 is not successfull do it anotherr time (mine took three tries) After u enter the folder leave the PSP the screen will go GREEN BLACK Type (Dont be scared its nuthin) and the System will shutdown and automatically restart!! :D and then check your System information of PSP it will Say 5.**ChickHEN R2 !!!

Step 3: Identification of your mother board!!

Explanation:

1: Download! http://downloads.exophase.com/515/pspident-04/
2: Alrite we just need PSPident Folder.... Copy it to (My computer/PSP/ GAME) folder of PSP!!
3: If u have followed the steps of installing CHICKhen R2 successfully ! then go to games in PSP concole and PSPident application will be there and you just hav to enter it and Congrats you will know ur MOTHERBOARD IF IT IS TA-088 v3! then follow the nxt step!!

Step 4: The Last step!

Ok then...... if u have successfully completed the first step of installing ChickHEN R2 then follow these steps i will give u the viideo just in case !

1: connect PSP to comp
2: DOWNLOAD ! http://www.psp-hacks.com/file/1734
3: copy the CFWenabler and dev file to GAME folder(My computer/PSP/ GAME)
4: disconnect PSP!
5: Goto games or memory stick of PSP console and Clcik ON CFWenabler
6: Then if you hav finished the setup
7: Insert Games that you have downloaded in your PSP to the ISO folder we created in the first step!!
8:After the setup of CFWenabler finishes goto settings in your psp console and go to system setting then to system information it will be 5.00 MHU!!
